After the viral success of our video last week (well, some people said they liked it), we thought we would do another one. This vlog is based on our potential need to learn foraging to keep well fed on Gabriola Island.
We also realise that some of you are missing the nature photographs, the birds in particular, so these are for the twitchers (happy birthday Stefan!):

I hope you enjoy a ‘bike’ to eat when you get home. It certainly seems like you have a better deal than Malt loaf and mini-sausage rolls. Great to see that another presenter is in the mix…but I would like to hear Body speak next time.

Last weeks video proves Ollie is a Warlock living amongst us humans, speeding through tasks like Samantha in Bewitched.
Getting twitchy.. (A) Chipping Sparrow. (B) White Crowned Sparrow, (C) Song Sparrow, (G) Great Blue Heron (similar to our Grey Heron), (E) this “boring” male Anna’s Hummingbird has two well placed fury catkins!!! Notice those green feathers on its chest each have pretty white fringes.
I’m saving this week’s video for tomorrow.

VLOG v good. Roundabouts are very small in the country. No grey squirrels on your island for Bodie to chase? We can send ours over to where they belong. Miner’s Lettuce looks weird: that little swirl on a flat leaf.

I’ve not seen any grey squirrels! Only the weird black ones, which we also had in Hertfordshire interestingly…

What a wonderful walk! I’m loving the wildlife photos, and can almost smell the clean, fresh air from here!!
I would have taken the skull home to draw/paint it!
